DAY 1: DELHI

DAY 2: DELHI

The contrasts between Old and New Delhi are striking – Old Delhi boasts spectacular UNESCO World Heritage monuments and holy sites, whereas New Delhi was designed in a typically British colonial style, with manicured tree-lined avenues and colonial bungalows. Meet with your private guide and driver to spend the day exploring the contrasts between the two sides of the city, and get an overall orientation of the city’s finest sites. Arrive in Old Delhi and drive past the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Red Fort. To truly experience the delightful chaos of the city, get on a cycle rickshaw for an exciting ride through its narrow lanes. The Old City walls wrap around Chandi Chowk, an ancient market that continues to thrive to this day. A walk through Khari Baoli, Asia’s largest spice market, provides for unforgettable memories.

In the afternoon, drive past the impressive India Gate and the Secretariat Building on the way to Qutab Minar, the tallest brick minaret in the world. The minaret is surrounded by a complex of buildings providing fine examples of Indian artwork dating back to the twelfth century, and it has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. End the day with a visit to yet another UNESCO-recognized site, the Humayun’s Tomb.

DAY 3: DELHI - JABALPUR - BANDHAVGARH

DAY 4: BANDHAVGARH

Set amidst the airy Vindhya hills of Madhya Pradesh, Bandhavgarh National Park has an established reputation as one of the best places in India to observe tigers in the wild. Head out on a wildlife safari by jeep into the steep ridges, undulating forest and open meadows of the park. The tiger population in Bandhavgarh is at the highest known density in all of India. The park is a hub for the extremely rare white tiger, which was first discovered in nearby Rewa. In addition to being a fertile breeding ground for tigers, the park is also home to the largest breeding population of leopards and various species of deer.

DAY 5: BANDHAVGARH

In an otherwise arid region, the 40 square mile setting of Bandhavgarh National Park is home to streams and pools of water, an attractive natural feature for both game and predators. The tick Sal forest is home to the iconic Bengal tiger, but also rarely seen animals like the leopard and sloth bear. Head out on a private jeep safari into the park. The lush vegetation is the perfect habitat for a wide variety of animals and birds, and offers excellent opportunities for wildlife sightings.

DAY 6: BANDHAVGARH - PANNA NATIONAL PARK

DAY 7: PANNA NATIONAL PARK

Located a convenient 19 miles from the famous temples of Khajuraho, Panna National Park is a lush ecosystem set on the banks of the River Ken. Head out by private jeep deep into the park on a search for wildlife. Adorned with deep ravines, cascading waterfalls and thick teak forests, the sprawling flatlands are punctuated by occasional hills, deep valleys and gorges - a rich environment teaming with wildlife. Mesmerizing waterfalls with a largely rocky and uneven terrain are an ideal habitat for the majestic Bengal tiger to comfortably hide amongst the vegetation of Panna National Park. The park is also a roosting spot for several vulture species as well as the Peregrine falcon.

DAY 8: PANNA NATIONAL PARK

Head out by private jeep deep into Panna National Park on a quest for tigers, and have your camera ready for the tremendous range of biodiversity the park offers. Leopards are another species of large feline that inhabit the park and are a photographer's delight. Drive through the woodland and grasslands to spot the Indian gazelle, Chinkara, Chowsingha, or even the four-horned antelopes. As the jeep approaches river the river banks, keep an eye on the rocky shores for crocodiles relaxing in the warmth of the sun. The reserve is also known for its sightings of wolf, hyena, jackal, nilgai, sambar, chital, wild boar and sloth bear.

DAY 9: PANNA NATIONAL PARK - KHAJURAHO

DAY 11: AGRA

A stunning monument to love, the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Taj Mahal has captivated the hearts and minds of travelers for centuries. Meet your private guide and driver for a private tour of this exquisite example Mughal architecture, crafted entirely out of white marble. The inside of the Taj Mahal is equally stunning, with elaborate inlay work comprised of precious and semi-precious stones.

After your leisurely exploration of this New 7 Wonders of the World, continue by car to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Agra Fort, a red sandstone fort built on a bend of the Yamuna river. At the end of the visit, return to your hotel by private vehicle.
